A career dedicated to championing the design and build of quality digital learning experiences, supporting faculty professional learning and development opportunities, integrating technology into the classroom, effectively leading and mentoring team members, and successfully planning and executing small and large-scale, impactful projects.
TEAM BUILDING & MENTORING
Responsible for overseeing a staff of close to 40 individuals including full-time and part-time staff, co-op and work-study students, administrative staff, and a variety of contract personnel.
FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY
Consistently managed the division budget, meeting revenue expectations and all financial deadlines while making difficult, fiscally responsible decisions.
CREATIVE MULTIMEDIA PRODUCTIONS
Supported and guided the Creative Productions team as they developed, built and produced quality educational video/lightboard/animated content. In addition, was a co-executive producer for a faculty-focused podcast - The Staff Lounge.

Overseeing the migration of all of our LMS content to a new LMS ecosystem including the training of all faculty
Launching an Adaptive Platform pilot project for a Comms courses

Launching an extended reality (XR/VR/AR) lab focused on work-integrated learning and curriculum development.

FACULTY DEVELOPMENT & SUPPORT
Over a decade of experience working with and supporting faculty on their professional learning and digital skill development journeys, focusing on supporting faculty to rethink and reposition their roles as everyday educators.
Some of the more recent success stories include:
Co-developed and co-led the 10 Step Build initiative moving all of the college’s traditional face-to-face courses to digital offerings and faculty training in response to the pandemic.
Led the acquisition of new software platforms and experiences including a student feedback platform.
Co-developed instructional design and online course build workflows.
Helped create faculty workshops focusing on digital literacy, fluency, and competency, maximizing the Learning Management System (LMS), how to create a culture of feedback using our digital Student Feedback Questionnaire, and using mobile apps inside and outside of the classroom.
DIGITAL EXPERIENCE & COURSE DESIGN
Worked as the project lead, leading various online course build teams, through the planning, development, testing, auditing, and deployment phase of over 100 online/hybrid diploma and degree course builds. Helped lead an award-winning (Humber Innovation of the Year Award - 2018) paramedic virtual reality experience and currently overseeing various other Extended Reality (VR/AR) experiences including a Red Seal electrician VR simulation build, an AR circuit board training experience, and a VR fire prevention experience. In addition, worked as an instructional designer developing and designing sociology and political science courses.
STUDENT SUPPORT
Managed the Open Learning Centre (OLC), a dedicated student support division offering student digital citizenship-focused workshops, and online/virtual and face-to-face Learning Management System (LMS) support for all of the college's online and face-to-face students. In addition, overseeing the college's proctoring options for all of their online students including the successful rollout of our virtual proctoring platform.
