A career dedicated to advocating for the design and creation of high-quality digital learning experiences, supporting faculty in their professional development, integrating technology into the classroom, effectively leading and mentoring team members, and successfully planning and executing impactful projects of various scales.

TEAM BUILDING & MENTORING
Responsible for overseeing teams of various sizes (15-40+) comprised of full-time and part-time staff, co-op and work-study students, administrative staff, and faculty.

FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY
Effectively managed budgets, achieving revenue goals and meeting all financial deadlines while making challenging yet fiscally responsible decisions.

CREATIVE MULTIMEDIA PRODUCTIONS

Supported and guided multimedia teams in developing, producing, and creating quality educational videos, lightboard materials, and animated content. Additionally, co-executive produced podcasts focused on faculty.

 

EXEMPLARY LEADERSHIP
Helped lead several institution-wide projects, supporting both faculty and administrators. Some of the recent projects include overseeing the migration of all of our LMS content to a new LMS ecosystem, including training all faculty, launching an adaptive platform pilot project for various courses, and supporting the launch of a Faculty Competency Framework.

Other significant projects that I oversaw or co-sponsored include implementing a college-wide digital student feedback questionnaire using the Explorance Blue platform, multiple Learning Management System (LMS) migrations, launching an extended reality (XR/VR/AR) lab focused on work-integrated learning and curriculum development, launching a digital staff appreciation platform and launching a course level student feedback platform.

FACULTY DEVELOPMENT & SUPPORT
Over a decade of experience working with and supporting faculty on their professional learning and digital skill development journeys, focusing on helping faculty rethink and reposition their roles as everyday educators.

Some of the more recent success stories include:

  • Co-developed and co-led the 10 Step Build initiative, moving the college’s traditional face-to-face courses to digital offerings and faculty training in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

  • Led the acquisition of new software platforms and experiences, including a student feedback platform, polling software and a virtual proctoring solution.

  • Co-developed instructional design and online course build development pathways.

  • Helped create faculty workshops focusing on digital literacy, fluency, and competency, maximizing the Learning Management System (LMS) and developing a culture of student feedback.

DIGITAL EXPERIENCE & COURSE DESIGN
Worked as the project lead, leading various online course build teams through the planning, development, testing, auditing, and deployment phase of over 100 online/hybrid diploma and degree course builds and helped lead an award-winning (Humber Innovation of the Year Award - 2018) virtual reality team. In addition, I worked as an instructional designer developing and designing sociology and political science courses. 

STUDENT SUPPORT
Managed the Innovative Learning Support Centre (formerly the Open Learning Centre), a dedicated student support division offering student digital citizenship-focused workshops and online/virtual and face-to-face Learning Management System (LMS) support. In addition, I oversaw the college's proctoring options for all its online students, including the selection and successful rollout of a virtual proctoring platform.
